What we build
Four disciplines, one continuous build.
Most outdoor projects fail at the seams — where the pool meets the deck, where the wall meets the drain, where the planting meets the grade. We hold all of it, so elevations, drainage and finishes resolve as one set of decisions instead of four subcontractors’ guesses.

Why the work holds up
The finish is visible. The reason it lasts isn’t.
Rebar in the walls, drainage behind the stone face, compaction under the pavers, expansion joints in the deck. We over-spec the hidden half of the job, because that’s the half that decides whether a yard still looks like this in ten years.

How a project runs
From the first site walk to the final walkthrough, one team owns it.
01
Site walk
We read the property — grade, drainage, access, setbacks, existing utilities.
02
Design & estimate
Layout, materials and a line-item scope, so the number you get is the number you pay.
03
Permits & schedule
We pull the permits, sequence the trades and share one critical-path schedule.
04
Build
Structure and hardscape, then pool and finishes, then planting — no handoff gaps.
05
Walkthrough
Punch list, irrigation programming, equipment training and care notes.

Questions we get before the first site walk
+How long does a pool build take in the Calabasas area?
Most residential pools run 8 to 14 weeks from excavation to plaster, plus permitting time. Sloped lots and structural decks add engineering review, which we start early so the schedule holds.
+Are you licensed, insured and bonded?
Yes. Stonework Design & Build is a licensed, insured and bonded contractor, and we pull our own permits.
+Can you handle landscape, hardscape and the pool on one contract?
Yes. Running the walls, decking, pool and planting under one contract removes the handoffs where elevations and drainage usually go wrong.
+Do you build retaining walls on hillside lots?
We design and build engineered retaining walls, block and stone walls, and drainage systems for hillside properties throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
+What areas do you serve?
Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Chatsworth, Ventura, the San Fernando Valley, Beverly Hills and greater Los Angeles.
