Stonework Design & Build is a licensed, insured and bonded landscape, hardscape and pool contractor based in Calabasas, CA, working across Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
Our approach
One contract for the whole property.
Most backyards touch four different trades — structural, hardscape, pool and planting — usually run by four different companies who never talk to each other. We run all four ourselves, so the grading, drainage and finish decisions get made once, by the people actually building it.
That means an estimate that reflects the real scope, a schedule that isn’t hostage to someone else’s crew, and a single warranty that covers the whole yard instead of four separate ones with gaps between them.

Full contractor's license, general liability and workers' comp coverage. Certificates provided with every estimate.
We pull our own permits
Structural, pool and grading permits are handled in-house and scheduled around the build, not left for you to chase.
Straight answers on scope
If a slope, soil condition or budget doesn't support what's being asked for, we say so at the estimate stage — not mid-build.
How we build
The part you don't see decides how long it lasts.
Rebar spacing in a retaining wall. Drainage behind a stone face. Base compaction under pavers. Expansion joints in a slab. None of it is visible once the project is finished — all of it determines whether the finish still looks right in ten years. That's the standard we hold every crew to.
